Pepper is hesitant at first but comes around to you especially if you are good at playing mousey (mouse on a string) or giving scritches/brushies. She is *very* opinionated about smells and needs to smell you before she consents to being touched/pet. You will know if she doesn’t approve of your smell because she will give you the dirtiest look ever given by a cat in your whole life. She likes a clean litter box and a full food bowl since she grazes on what’s there all day. She doesn’t eat any wet food but appreciates a treat once in a while.
Liz is the chillest lil man. I was pet sitting him for a friend back in 2020 when I fell wildly in love with him and my friend didn’t have the heart to separate us. Obviously to him, bug is life but he is still very good about eating his vegetables. He has also become very used to our rhythm and basically potty trained, so if he poops it will be on the paper towel in his tank.
Little Foot is very new to us as I just took her in two weeks ago from a coworker that needed to rehome her. She just had a vet visit and is in very good health aside from having a swollen eye. She has been prescribed two different eye drops to be applied once a day for at least 21 days. If you feel comfortable doing this it would be amazing but I 110% understand if you don’t and it’s not a big deal if she misses just one day. Leopard geckos are insectivores and eat every 3 days so you wont have to feed her.
I’d love if you have room in your schedule to stop by some time this Saturday (May 03) to fill up Pepper’s food dish and clean her litter box as well as top Liz’s food bowl up with some greens. And **if** you feel comfortable, giving Little Foot her eye drops — which I completely understand if you don’t. I’ll give both reptiles a fill up of insects before leaving so you wouldn’t have to worry about that part.
We also have a wedding in Wisconsin we need to go to in June which I’d love to have you do a daily check-in for over that weekend.
