Policies
By registering on this website and by requesting services from Lindsay Loves Pets you agree to the following terms and to abide by the following policies.
Reservations
All services by appointment only. Reservation and full payment required prior to start of service. After payment, a reservation must be confirmed by Lindsay Loves Pets to be valid. Reservations are prioritized on a first come first served basis.
Drop-off and pickup timing
You may drop off your pet for boarding, camp, or daycare no more than 15 minutes prior to your appointment unless otherwise approved. You may pick up your pet no more than 15 minutes after the end of session or agreed upon time for boarding, unless otherwise approved. Pets left longer than 15 minutes past pickup time are charged a $25 fee each, payable at time of pickup. Pets left more than 1 hour without alternate arrangement are turned over to the Sturbridge Animal Control officer as abandoned.
Leads and restraints
Client acknowledges that for the safety of the pet and others, a pet may be placed in a muzzle, gentle leader, or other behavior-correcting equipment at LLP discretion.
Keys and codes
For pet-sitting and scheduled walk services where the house is secured by keys, we require 2 sets of keys. If you provide one key, a second key will be made by us. One set is used while we are in service with you. The other is a copy that we keep securely at our home office, just in case of back up or emergencies. Alternately, you may add to your pet profile the codes for a keyless entry system, alarm codes, or lockbox kept outside the home.
Vaccination records
We require all dogs to be up to date with their rabies vaccination and puppies must be up to date on all vaccinations/boosters. Please upload a scan or photo of your current records to your pet profile. Pets missing up to date vaccination records may be denied service.
License
All dogs are required to be licensed in their town, and have the license tag on their collar. License number and town of issue must be current in their pet profile in case of emergency. Dogs without a tag and license number on file may be denied service.
Flea prevention
We require your pet(s) use a flea/tick preventative, as Massachusetts in the warmer months is a mecca for fleas! If we see fleas as a problem, we have the right to cancel service until the flea/tick situation is controlled.
Scheduled window
All scheduled services are delivered within a 3 hour time frame. We try to accommodate scheduled times, but due to the unpredictable scenarios animals can throw at us (messes to be cleaned up, sick pets, etc.), a 3 hour time frame is necessary for all clients.
Peak pricing
During school vacations and holidays, hosting, house-sitting, and pet-sitting services are subject to peak rates. The list of dates and peak surcharges for 2024 is as follows:

In Case of Emergency
If an emergency takes place and your pet requires medical attention, we will do everything possible to get the right treatment for your pet in a timely manner. We will always try to get in touch with you immediately in these circumstances. In the event that we are unable to reach you, we reserve the right to make medical decisions on your behalf for the care of your pet. We will always try to use your veterinarian of choice, but we reserve the right to take your pet to one of our choosing if yours is not available or if emergency critical care is needed. You are responsible for any veterinarian bills that result from getting your pet the proper medical attention. Please work out a payment plan ahead of time with your veterinarian. Also discussing an emergency plan with us, as well as providing us with one or two local emergency contacts will better help us to help you and your pets in case of such emergencies.
Customer Agreement
By engaging Lindsay Loves Pets or any of its providers or affiliates (collectively, Lindsay Loves Pets) for service you hereby give Lindsay Loves Pets permission to provide services to your pet in trust that these will be performed in accordance with the Lindsay Loves Pets Professional Standard of Care for Pets as posted. You realize that there are certain unforeseen circumstances that may occur & you are responsible in all ways should any harm befall your pet.
You understand that you are solely responsible for any damage, harm, or injury caused by my pet(s) while they are in the care of, or are being provided service(s) by, Lindsay Loves Pets.
You further understand that due to the way that pets interact with humans and each other minor cuts, scratches, and other non-serious injuries can occur even though pets are carefully supervised at all times.
You understand if Lindsay Loves Pets is providing services in your home that no one else is allowed to be present at the same time unless they are identified in advance and are specifically agreed to in advance by Lindsay Loves Pets. If any unauthorized person(s) are found to be anywhere on the property at the time of Lindsay Loves Pets services, you understand Lindsay Loves Pets will immediately contact you, and failing to reach you, local and any other appropriate authorities, and to forgo the scheduled visit.
While your pet(s) is/are in the care of Lindsay Loves Pets, if you are unreachable in the event of an emergency you hereby authorize a representative of Lindsay Loves Pets to seek immediate veterinary care for your pet(s). You understand that all costs in connection with veterinary, medical, or other treatment, shall be your responsibility.
You understand that purchasing an appointment reservation precludes Lindsay Loves Pets from accepting any other similar work at the appointed date and time and constitutes a final purchase. Neither Lindsay Loves Pets nor the customer may cancel a reservation after its made. There are no refunds and credits are solely at Lindsay Loves Pets discretion.
You certify that you have read and understand the rules and regulations set forth in these Terms of Service and you agree to abide by the rules and regulations and accept all the terms, conditions, and statements of this agreement and confirm the truthfulness of the contents of the application form completed by you.
You certify that you have informed Lindsay Loves Pets of all animals that are in your house, explained the tendencies that your pet can have, any allergies that are known, health conditions, and or medications that need to be given.
You will notify Lindsay Loves Pets via email and text of any contagious human or pet illness occurring in your home 7 days before or 7 days after a service.
You understand Lindsay Loves Pets can cancel and terminate your access to our system at any time for any reason.
You hereby release and agree to save and hold Lindsay Loves Pets and all affiliated providers, vendors, affiliates, and family harmless of any and all liability, or consequential damages, claims, suits, actions, loss, injury or damage of any nature or kind, or for any liability claims, claims, suits, actions, loss, injury or damage which you or your pet may sustain or which may be caused in any way by your pet. You specifically, without limitation, agree to fully indemnify, Lindsay Loves Pets and all affiliated providers, vendors, affiliates, and family for any and all such liability, claims, suits, actions, losses, injury or damage.
