Harold thought the car ride was the treat today, but then we ended up at a shopping plaza. I had seen him bark excitedly a couple times on the ride over so I was hoping to find other things that cause him to behave unpredictably. We walked up and down in front of the whole Shaw’s plaza, from need to end and I couldn’t get as much as a raised hackle out of him. We passed SUVs, people (lots of people!), shopping carts, automatic doors… Harold handled them beautifully, needing only the mildest of corrections. On one hand it’s awesome that he’s so well adjusted. On the other hand now he wants an allowance and to go shopping regularly… Sorry about that! 😂 Maybe next time we’ll go to the beach! 🥰

Harold looks so proud to be part of the Sturbridge community now! Too bad he’s too young to get a job, though. In “dog years” he would be too old 🤪 He does do a good job of being my mentor and my muse and my emotional medicine! We have a good economic system. He takes care of me and gives me what “I” need and I take care of him and gives him what “he” needs. It’s an amazing interspecies symbiosis ♥️
