It was a gorgeous sunny day, and Harold was eager to get outside, but I worried his collar was a bit too snug, so I added an extra link to the length. Harold was just as perfect on leash today as yesterday, and I was giving him quite a bit of freedom to roam. Suddenly in the middle of an open snowy patch the collar just fell off him to the ground – I must not had reassembled it right! Noticing that he was no longer encumbered, Harold turned to me and said, “g’day mate, the collar’s down under and I’m going for a walk about! ” 😆 And off he went. Took about 5 minutes of following him through driveways and neighbors back yards before he managed to corner himself on a back deck and I could get hold of him again. 😲 He was very proud of himself, but he hadn’t planned on going anywhere – he was just playing. 🥰 Nonetheless, when the collar came back on, double-checked, he had to stay close by, in both the 1st and 2nd walks. In all the excitement he didn’t eat much. Maybe after I leave he’ll throw some kibble in the bah-bie 😆

Wow! He had quite the day – all the way to “down-under.” 🤣 He did that to me in the summer when I mistakenly clipped his leash to his collar instead of his harness. He looked at the collar on the ground and looked at me as if to say “see ya” and he bolted off. I followed him around the woods for about 20 minutes and even called Animal Control for help. I couldn’t find him and sadly walked home, only to find Animal Control in my driveway. I said “did you find Harold” and they said no, but he came back and is in the backyard. We called him and opened the front door and in he went! Yes – prankster!
