A different kind of field trip, with an actual field. After our chat yesterday I thought it appropriate to take Jameson to Tractor Supply and Ocean State. Watching him in there, a bit of a bull in a China shop, he has a lot to learn about proper in-store behavior. But his curiosity is hard for him to overcome, and he wanted to stick his nose in everything and everyone. So, that’s going to be a more regular trip for us. We also took a detour to visit a nearby field where I could let Jameson run off-leash, and we could work on his off-leash behavior. Without the in-store distractions, he was very good without a leash the very thing he just couldn’t in a store. I think next time I’ll reverse the order, and have him a bit more stretched and tired out before hitting the store.
