Charlotte was a little hesitant at first but once I mentioned a walk, she was ready and engaging! The walk was very soggy but she still wanted to show us around the property. We brought a ball to play with once we dried off, to play fetch with. She showed us her amazing retrieving skills and her not so giving back ones! 🤣

By dinner Charlotte and I were old friends. The rain had let up somewhat and we navigated huge puddles to stroll along the water. The Charlotte found a big squeaky toy on a stump and the game was in! 🥰 Suddenly she didn’t mind the wet and cold so much, as I kicked and she raced and chased the toy around the yard. She didn’t care for dinner at the start of our visit, but once she had worked up an appetite she ate heartily. We finished with cookies and storytime, and I promised her parents would be back soon. That seemed to satisfy her, and she settled into bed for a nap. 😊
