It was wet and soggy from the moment we woke up yesterday. Penny and I kept our walks short and to the point. Sophia and Maxi were equally uninterested in spending more time outside than necessary. And when they came in, they all loved the toweling off even more than the cookies. Once inside the sound of the falling rain and the clacking of my keyboard caused everyone to fall asleep quickly. They needed their rest – they stay up late with me, and I have them up very early. Even Kitkat must have crawled somewhere comfy and fallen asleep because he wasn’t in his usual chair and didn’t show up for dinner until late.

This morning we were greeted with bright sunshine, and we are all well rested and raring to go for some outdoor play!
