Today was our first day with Koda, walking around Westville Dam. She was a little apprehensive when we first arrived, but once she realized we were going for a walk, she was very excited. She was great on a leash. She pulls a lot, and we’ll work on that, but she was very well behaved. In true puppy fashion, she jumped and played with leaves, sticks, anything that moved in the wind. She really enjoyed sniffing every little thing. On the walk, we ran into an unleashed dog, a ridgeback about the size of Koda. He was friendly, also a little skittish, and the 2 had a great time sniffing each other out. Koda wanted to play, but we were walking in opposite directions. The 30 minutes flew by, and Koda certainly wasn’t tired, but she clearly had a good time. Thursday is supposed to be warm and sunny, and we may keep her out a bit longer! Can’t wait to spend more time with her, and help her learn good walking manners.
