May 27th evening – Captain’s log, supplemental. We checked in on the kids before heading out to dinner. The kitties were home and ready to come inside, not without complaints. Everybody ate and we took Lucy for a walk so she could do her business. We reminded everyone that you’re coming home soon and we left everybody very excited. Welcome back!
May 27th- mid-day visit- the humidity came back today and I was surprised when I came for the afternoon visit that both cats came in to finish their breakfast ,play a little and then back outside they went. Lucy again wasn’t feeling an afternoon walk so we just played in the yard and hung out. she did pee but no poops. I watered the plants yesterday, your mail is on the counter. I also scooped out the litter a little bit and took out your trash in the kitchen. We have certainly grown a huge love for all the animals and I’m going to miss them so much. Thank you again for trusting us with your furry family and home.
May 27th final morning – it was quiet when I got here this morning. Finally Delilah showed up loudly demanding breakfast. I guess she was hungry since she missed dinner last night. She dug into her food and then buddies. He was nowhere to be found, probably sleeping in with lucy. Finally I let Delilah out, and got ready to head out when buddy finally saunted out. He nibbled a little at his food and then just wanted to follow Delilah outside. I reminded them that you’re coming home today and to be home on time to greet you. They said they wouldn’t miss it!
May 26th Operation Find Delilah- I came back at 10 pm and sure enough Ms. Fuzzy Pants was on the deck acting all cool like I shouldn’t have been worried. She went in and devoured her dinner, followed by some purrs, cuteness and catnip.
May 26th dinner – Had a great visit with Lucy and Buddy but Delilah is MIA. Lucy was glad to see us and ready for dinner and a walk. She’s always in such a good mood. Buddy was sleeping soundly on the back porch, and loudly demanded dinner when he woke up. We walked all around the neighborhood looking for Delilah but no trace of her yet. We’ll probably swing by a little later tonight and see if she’s managed to get home.
May 26th mid-day – so there was no parade today. Lucy and the kitties were quite content just chilling with me in the yard. Lucy sensed something in your stonewall in the garden and spent most of her time sniffing and trying to dig but of course I stopped her from digging it up. They were so happy to hear that you said you miss them and they cannot wait to see you tomorrow!
May 26th breakfast – was a quiet visit this morning, as Lucy was still fast asleep. Delilah was up though, demanding food loudly. I fed her and she dug right in. Buddy showed up still sleepy, but all he wanted was out. I let him and eventually Delilah followed suit. But not before I forced them both to pose for a photo.
May 25th Dinner visit- The furry ones were cute as always. Buddy was the first in and right to his dinner. Delilah took a little love and affection to get her to come inside but I got her in. I was surprised after dinner, Delilah is usually the one at the back door meowing, but tonight she was quite content with her catnip purple furry toys after a nice brushing and Buddy was the one who wanted out. He usually eats and plops. Lucy was pretty chill too. We went for a brief walk but she wasn’t into going very far. She is a very good supervisor while I was watering the front and the back plants/gardens. We really enjoy our time with them. They each have such awesome personalities. Hope you guys are enjoying yourselves! Have a great night!!!
May 25th Mid-day visit- I don’t know if Lucy Delilah and Buddy had fun but I sure did! We had a parade. Delilah and Buddy decided to join us on our walk. All your neighbors enjoying the sunshine got a kick out of it as they say they love seeing it. It made my day. Your furry ones are awesome!!!
May 25th morning – looks like last night’s update got lost somewhere. No worries, we were here, and got to meet your lovely neighbor. This morning was full of surprises, as Lucy greeted me wide awake, while the kitties were still sound asleep. Everyone got fed and in turn buddy and Delilah made their way out. I took Lucy for a little walk around the parking lot. Everybody was in good spirits, and hungry this morning. It’s like they had a party last night!!
May 24th mid-day visit-
We did end up going for a shortish walk I suppose. She really just wanted to sniff and roll around and then I saw that they had sprayed, I guess yesterday so I don’t know if the grass we were on was sprayed so I was a little concerned. So I scooped her up and we headed back home. Hopefully everything’s okay. And the kitties and Lucy don’t get sick from being on the grass. Eek! We played with Mr. Squeaker and her ball for a little bit when we got home. That is always fun!
May 24th Breakfast- Good Morning! This morning everyone was up early and bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Buddy and Delilah were so ready to head outside on this gorgeous day. Lucy again wasn’t up for a walk so we spent the morning with the kitties in the back which was really nice. Hopefully during our lunch visit Lucy will want to go venture out and explore. If not, there is always our evening stroll.
May 23rd Evening visit- Tonight was fun! We went for a nice sunset walk with Lucy, she rolled in the grass, sniffed every pee-mail and replied to most,🤣and even scratched her back on a few bushes. Buddy and Delilah were of course sad when it was time to come in, but we made them happy with treats and catnip and lots of love and attention.
The trash is on the curb, the plants are watered and the mail is collected!😁
May 23rd, Afternoon visit-
Good afternoon! Both Lucy and Buddy slept in today. When I arrived at 11:30 they were both fast asleep upstairs. Lucy was not feeling an afternoon walk so we chilled with the kitties out back.
May 23rd breakfast. Was a very quiet and sleepy morning. Lucy was sleeping upstairs and didn’t budge when I came in. Buddy was nowhere to be found, probably exhausted from the day before. Delilah on the other hand was wide awake and ready for breakfast and to go outside I took care of everyone and let the tired kids sleep in.
May 22nd, dinner visit. Had a great long visit with everyone. The cats were on the porch ready for dinner when we got here. Lucy was happy and excited and cheerful to see us arrive, though she hadn’t eaten much of her breakfast still. We went for a long walk the wrong way around, but that’s the way she wanted to go. Everyone’s doing great and misses you.
May 22nd, noonish – our first visit went without any problems. Lucy was awake and came out of the room to greet us, happily following us to the door. We met buddy out there who was happy for a break, in the air conditioning. After letting Lucy spend some time outside on the lead, and making her a yummy lunch, we decided to postpone the walk until tonight when it will be cooler, and let her just spend some more time in the yard. Since there’s no plants to water and no trash to take out and no mail to check, spent most of the time happily playing with Lucy on the carpet. Totally worth it.
