Yesterday when we brought Mindy to walk with Sammy, he was very interested in her, right until she gave him the cold shoulder. Today when we took them for a walk, Sammy barely acknowledged the other dog walking along side him. He checked all his usual bushes, and we spent plenty of time on the grass just loving on him, but he played it so cool. He saw her but never even looked in her direction when he thought she’d notice. It was spectacular dog flirting and Sammy was a master. I suspect that walking them together will be good for both of them. The fact that Sammy isn’t reactive at all around her (nor around anyone else we’ve encountered) makes me think his issue is personality specific, and not endemic at all.
