Sometimes we meet very young pets, and other times it’s old-timers like Boone. This grey-muzzled mutt lives on a lake, has the run of the house and beach, and doesn’t put up with a lot of nonsense from anyone. His owner cautioned us to be careful around him – he’s grouchy. But just the other day, Alex was telling me that now that he’s older, he likes having his home exactly how he likes it, and he doesn’t put up with a lot of nonsense from anyone… Maybe that’s why Boone and Alex seemed to have an unspoken understanding, while I had to stand back a bit. We’re excited to get to know this wise old dog when we take care of him!
