Sometimes when Lindsay Loves Pets does pet-sitting for cats I come across an invisible kitty. For instance I have my furiends Josie & Alley Cat, and when their parents go away we do pet-sitting for them. I come for a visit everyday to give them food and water, clean their litter, leave them treats, check their area, and sometimes I tell them a story while I work. But here’s the thing – I’ve never seen these cats. I’ve never heard a purr or a meow, just maybe a shuffle or two. No cat at my feet waiting while I prepare their food or come running to the sound of the treat bag being opened. Nope, not a kitty in sight. I take a minute to admire the beauty of Leadmine Pond stretching out from side to side right behind me, still listening for any telltale steps or someone brushing against a couch… Nothing. I know they are there somewhere because when I come back for my next visit, their food has been eaten, litter box has been used and treats have been enjoyed. I respect their space and just go on with my thing while making small talk to them…hoping that some human voices might make them feel a little at ease. And sometimes, on a very rare occasion, when my timing is just right and I have my camera ready, I have been lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one of these most elusive beauties! When Lindsay Loves Pets does pet-sitting for your cats you know you’re getting top of the (fe)line service!
