You’d think after one walk today mugs would be all relaxed, but our second walk started out exciting! We barely got out the door before mugs. Spied a pug and decided he needed to bark and lunge to say hello. We walked towards the cul-de-sac and then eventually stopped as the pug and her mom approached us. Again, mugs acted out a bit, and they turned around rather than deal with it. Well, since we had nowhere else to go but to follow them, I proceeded to walk mugs ever so slowly just far enough so that he wouldn’t bark. When the pug stopped to sniff I would make mugs stop and wait. As they moved forward, so did we. Eventually mugs figured it out and we were able to get away from them and enjoy some leisurely grass time on this beautiful spring day. Sometimes the longest walks are the slowest ones.
