Earning a dog’s trust isn’t hard. A few treats, some friendly petting, and you’re fast friends in minutes. Having them properly walk on a lead is a little harder, especially with a headstrong dog like Koda. With her size she can easily outpace us, lead us, take us for a walk instead of the other way around. Her Gentle Lead helps her learn how to follow us. It helps her learn manners and pace and good behavior around cars and people. And it certainly doesn’t get in the way of chasing some geese, playing with a baby, or sniffing every rustling leaf. A well trained dog is a safe dog. And training them, well, it’s as easy as a walk in the park.
