Millie was so excited to see Alex show up with me today! She bounced and zoomed just a little more than usual, saving her flying tackles for the guy without crutches. But the spunk didn’t last because the heat was oppressive. Before long, she was hiding under my lawn chair, trying to dig herself a cooler spot to hunker down in. Alex took her for a short walk down the private road, and she did find some relief in a neighbor’s sprinkler, but by the end of it, she was panting and ready to go inside. The next few days may be the perfect time to bust out the kiddie pool for her!
