Koda is such a joy! The way she welcomes Alex when he visits melts his heart every time. And speaking of melting, the weather on our walk made us feel like ice cream on a hot pavement. But Koda was excited to sniff around (she’s been finding things to chew or try to eat, so we keep a close eye on her) and was very interested in the very few people we did run across today. Koda is pretty fearless when it comes to people and (most) dogs – she’s the biggest around and she knows it. But you should have seen her react to a toddler being pulled in a little tyke wagon. The noise, the tiny occupant, she just didn’t know what to do with all that, and you could literally see the desire to be friendly and utter fear war across her face. Ultimately she decided that discretion beats valor, but both I and the parent had a good laugh about it.
