Everybody was thrilled to see us this morning, except Elsa. She cowered in the corner not knowing what to expect. We hadn’t practiced this! 🙂 But she didn’t put up too much of a fight and warmed up to us quickly. Breakfast was easy since the birds didn’t need much. The chickens had very little interest in outdoor activities with snow coming down. Elsa took a little while to relax at our place. Instead of a regular walk at lunch time we took her to meet our friend Millie and walked them together. Elsa and Millie hit it off immediately. 🥰 They are about the same size and temperament. Milly showed her all the cool spots and Elsa forgot that she was shy because she was so excited. She slept most of the afternoon and eagerly hopped into the car to go home for dinner. There, again, the gang gave us a warm welcome. Lindsay went to gather eggs, and felt very guilty at the stairs she was getting from the chickens! 😂 Rio came and hung out with us while we made dinner for the dogs. Everyone got lots of treats, and Alex spent some time chatting and bobbing with Luna and Gracie. Now Elsa is back at our place again, happily snoozing on the lounge. It might have been a cold start to the day, but also really warmed our hearts today. 🥰
