Harold tried out his new prong collar today, and despite some trepidation took to it right away. 😊 We adjusted a few times to get the fight just right – snug like a necktie at a job interview. The collar isn’t magic; it doesn’t actually stop him from pulling. The covered nibs and martingale construction just make my needs louder and clearer. 🥰 And helps keep his needs to chase a mail truck subservient to mine Harold knows what to do, and he wants to please, so this is like a hearing aide for his neck. Or at least that’s the theory. In practice he never really pulled, never got distracted, so it wasn’t much of a test. 😊 He’s dying to go for a ride so maybe tomorrow we’ll go somewhere he can practice around traffic. For today we stuck close to home. There were whole swaths of spring promise underneath the melting snow and Harold was happy to explore nicely while maintaining a loose leash.
