Today the kids wanted to head up the street instead of to the trail. With school in and the dock unused we passed nobody in the road the whole way. They dot to enjoy all the wonderful sweet and 🍂 fall-y smells, and got to send a squirrel and a bird fleeing to the treetops. I wouldn’t normally let dogs do a walk in a road without sidewalks but these 2 are so good on a leash and so well behaved in general I felt it was safe. 🥰 By the time we returned to the neighborhood we finally encountered someone with some dogs. Bagel of course wanted to say hi, but it was Julian who slipped his harness and got to run over. 😆 Of course he was a good boy and immediately sat and let me put it back on. On the way back Bagel hit up both of her favorite rolling spots where the grass was still cool and dewy. It was just perfect.
