Ohh I how will miss my mornings with Maxwell ! He is so eager to please and loves to be trained. His door manners are amazing and he has also slowed down going down the stairs . He peed a few times and enjoyed our walk. Fed him breakfast and filled up a bowl of clean water.
Unfortunately , I forgot my long lead so decided to do what we did yesterday. He did SO good and stayed sitting while Sarah walked back and forth . Then Maxwell and I started walking around and our distance got closer than yesterday. Maxwell remained excited but kept good control of his emotions. Then we kicked it up a notch and had him sit while she walked towards him . He lunged a little bit with correction he knew what was expected now. Next time we tried he stayed sitting and I had her stop 3 feet away . He stayed very calm ( while wagging his tail 😂) I told him he could
Say hi and he went over so gently and stood there !! Woo hooo Maxwell ! I’m so proud of him ! Only thing was I forgot how too much petting gets him amped up ! He jumped a little but Sarah stepped away right away as I also corrected him .
To end on a good note we did it again and he did amazing with no jumping ( and minimal petting allowed lol).
After that I took him
Inside and out him in his crate I can’t praise him enough !
