I must have really tuckered them out the 1st day because all they wanted to do was rest yesterday. Well, Sonya of course took breaks to play excitedly and show me how much she loves me with hugs and kisses. But outside of some soggy walks and some quick trips out and a half-hearted dinner, they both seemed content to snooze to the rhythmic sound of falling rain. Between the light and the wetness there weren’t any good new photos. That sound of the rain and the weighted blanket feeling of Sonya snuggled into my legs on the couch lead me to fall asleep early on the couch too. Sonya and I woke up early, still on the couch, still hearing the rain, and I took her out right away while I started coffee. I thought she would be hungry or be filled with energy after a day of doing nothing. But instead of wanting to play she headed back to the living room. As she jumped back up on the couch I asked her if she was feeling OK. She told me to look up “content” in the dictionary. “Now go do your pupdate.” And she went back to sleep.
The kids miss you and say hello, but they don’t seem to be too stressed about it. 🥰😊😇
