What a pleasant surprise to see my favorite golden boy on Monday ! As usual he is the happiest guy on the block. We had a fun couple laps around the yard where he peed & had a healthy poop . He knew what time it was after our laps – FETCH time !! I grabbed his knobby toy that he loves and he was absolutely hysterical running for it , grabbing it , and dropping it 😂 He could definitely have his own successful YouTube channel !
Through the excitement and laughter, he was still able to listen to drop & sit . He continued to do great listening to commands as we played. He got pretty tired out and we took a break to slow things down. Had a nice walk around the yard where he always enjoys the extra slack with the long leash .
We worked on his recall and he did great . The dog across the road started barking and Maxwell seemed concerned. Every bark Maxwell would turn his head around with that adorable scrunchy face he gets.🥰
We made our way up driveway, I had my daughter get out of car so we could work on manners with introduction. Usually he gets ultra excited and can’t get past the 5 foot threshold. This time he proved us wrong ! She was able to pet him and he didn’t jump ! We were so proud of him . I didn’t want to push it so she pet him a few times and we proceeded to go inside .
Ate his dinner and drank some water before he got his pet time.

Chime In!
