Making friends with a dog is a process. It’s all about establishing trust. And the best way to do that is abject bribery. A few cookies and lots of affection are all it took for Cardi to go from nervous and unsure to kisses and dances. The rain didn’t dampen our fun as we ran and jumped and splashed in puddles. 😂 The long leash gave Cardi plenty of opportunity not just to sniff the latest news all over, but to chase a rabbit and chipmunk! She was very well behaved and so smart 🥰 And though she loved the walk, I think her favorite part was getting toweled off. She rubbed against it like a cat and nestled her head in the crook of my arm while I did it. Can’t wait to see her again later today! ☺️
