Koda and I set off on our trail walk as usual, ready to bask in the sunshine and friendly company. But the trail itself was treacherous – we had the choice of slippery mud, slippery snow, slippery ice, and the occasional slippery wet leaves. 😮 This left us in a tough situation. If I gave Koda full leash and she ran, she would take me down in an instant. If I held her on a short leash and I fell, I would bring her down. Koda seemed to grasp this and kept looking back to make sure she didn’t pull too hard. 🥰 This was great because we passed many dogs, and she was compelled to do her excited after-dance if she wasn’t allowed to say hi. At the end we found solid ground to play catch. Worth the ice risk 💯%
