With it being another hot one today, Koda and I decided to take a walk along the river and maybe cool our feet. We made sure to make stops along the way to catch up on her pee-mails and get a good sprint in or 3 before heading to the river bank. As we approached the water, the sound of the rushing water over the rocks was just so peaceful. At the water, Koda took a sniff and a lick or two before she stepped in to cool her paws. It was so relaxing until we both heard the craziest sound! A squack of some sort. It made both of us freeze in place. We quickly looked around to see what it was, when all of a sudden a pterodactyl flew from the bank across the river! We were both a little surprised and spooked at first! But then we realized it was just a Blue Heron! We both laughed all the way home! Oh Koda and I have such silly imaginations! ❤️🐾
