New friends take a bit to figure out, but it’s always worth it to get it just right. Like remembering which door to go in and out through. Or understanding the pairing order (Beorn+Drogo/Waif; it sounds like complicated maths). Of course the pups themselves are very easy. Taking them out in just their collars is easy, walking them around is easy (I love how each has a very different goal for their outside time), and feeding them is super easy. Thank goodness for all the notes – it makes things practically idiot proof. The weather today is miserable for dogs. It took longer to towel each one off than how long they spent outside! So, we spent some time playing inside, and they got lots of cookies and storytime. There were lots of hugs (Beorn) and belly rubs (Drogo) and kisses (Waif) and they just melted my heart. 🥰 The way they were settled on the couch seemed like they’d be on camera for you so I turned on the TV for them. Relaxing dog music. I may need that again this weekend with the thunder and fireworks. 🎆
