The kids were chilling on the couch when I arrived and hadn’t yet gotten into the dinner mood yet. But service at Chez Ernie’s was zippy tonight, with a warm, lightly watered first course coming out right away. They tasted but didn’t dive in. Deb pecked at the food, and Gigi ran away entirely 😄 I left it there to let them graze while I attended to the next courses. Gigi returned and started to eat, but was immediately distracted by an ant on the floor. He lost all interest in food momentarily and had to investigate! Little by little we got through all the courses. No surprise, they had plenty of appetite, but we’re saving it for the yummy deserts! 🥰 I left Deb with what was left of her wet and dry on the floor by the bed. This restaurant sends leftovers, but don’t you dare call it a doggie bag! 😆
