I rushed over to your place when I saw that the rain was tapering off, hoping that we could catch a few minutes of merely soggy rather than soaked. We quickly got ready, and imagine our surprise then, when we stepped out into brilliant sunshine! It was still drizzling a little, but it was genuinely nice again, so Aneto took me down the back yard to his trail. He knew right where he was going, navigated around puddles, never pulled, never got stuck. He’s a remarkable dog – so polite and well mannered, so chill and wise, shy but fierce. We got to know each other a little better – he told me he’s getting a puppy and I told him about the video game I’m playing. Turns out he’s too mature for games 😝 We had a blast walking in shaded sunshine, shielded from the big drops by the trees. He took care of all his business, and turned around on his own right on time. He did try to keep me going past our exit, but who could blame him – it was finally lovely outside. I pulled a few ticks off his face and killed them with prejudice before we headed inside. He loved getting toweled off, which was great because he was very muddy. He said he’d never seen Risky Business, but he was definitely bouncing around the couches when nobody is around. 😂🥰
