Tonks Vs. Barricades

I was told it was ok to take the girls in the water, but that they didn’t particularly love it. Willow was easy enough to entice to take a few steps in to collect her cookies. But Tonks was very much against setting one toe in the water. Then she got very excited, ran towards the back of the yard, turned and dashed back towards the lake. She skidded to a stop and made a show of picking on Willow. She did this a couple of times and on the 3rd she didn’t stop. Instead she jumped right past me into the water, hopped a few times, and bounded INTO THE NEIGHBOR’S YARD. 😵 She came right back but got tangled in the stick and wire barricade protecting the beach from just such a Tonks incursion. She wasn’t out of the water 2 seconds before she turned and did the same thing again. The buzzer had her coming right back again, but this time the neighbor came out and explained they have a dog out. A few minutes later Tonks invaded their yard a third time. Again, she came as soon as she was called back, and again she got tangled in their makeshift barricades, nearly taking them down in the process. I apologized profusely to the rightfully annoyed neighbor and took the kids inside. WIllow, this whole time was an angel, and has quite warmed up to me. But it seems today’s training reinforcement needed to be focused on Tonks!
