What an improvement!

Maxwell is one smart pup ! He was very excited in the beginning of our walk but anytime he pulled I would stop and wait. It didn’t take long for him to understand what was expected. It didn’t take me long for me to realize that he really , really , really wanted to go for a ride. He only attempted to “hug “ me once on our walk but it was after I gave him ultra praise for doing so good. After his attempt he maintained a nice loose leash walk . I was so impressed !!! It was very hard for me not to get super excited 😆 we did a few trips up and down the driveway but he was expecting a ride after and was very determined. I then decided to bring distance to my car and brought him on the lawn . We played for a little bit and he then remembered what he was determined to do – get in the car . I would redirect him when he became focused on going in car. Brought him in for a water break after 20 minutes and back out to pee. We were able to get a little more exercise in but by this time he was getting tired .
Since it was my first attempt at putting him in crate – it didn’t go as smooth as anticipated. I had the 4 treats with me and gave him one when I opened the door. At this point he realized he much rather be hanging with his momma upstairs and tried to go up 😂
I put the rest of treats in his crate and guided him in. He was very content when I left.
Once again it’s impressive to see how fast he catches on. What a smart, sweet , and ultra handsome pup!
