Today, Julian had a little more of a workout along our walk. When we got to the end of the street and we were just about ready to turn back for home, I noticed an unfamiliar black dog and several kids heading our way. Their pace was a little quicker than Julian’s usual easy gait. Knowing his lack of enthusiasm for other dogs, we turned and headed back so that we wouldn’t have to cross their path. It was a bit like having a carrot on a stick in front of a horse with treats in hand to keep him moving so the other dog and kids wouldn’t meet up with us. Julian did great on our improvised sprint! We kept ahead of them the entire way and he never looked back once. I bet he enjoys an afternoon snooze after that. 😛😉💕🐶
