I had kind of spoiled the surprise that we would get to hang out this week, so by the time I got there for dinner yesterday, Moose was jumping and dancing. We took a long trail walk. It was nice to be able to range and go farther than we usually do. Moose ate all his dinner after the walk; I was pleased to see his appetite was good. 🙂
For the tuck-in walk we went to the Common and there was a lot of excitement there. Some teenagers were racing around blasting music and yelling. It wasn’t long before they were surrounded by Blue flashing lights. We had a front row seat for all the excitement. So did my friend Sophie who lives right on the Common and came out with her parents to watch the show. Sophie is still very much a puppy and while Moose was happy to make her acquaintance she soon got into his personal space. He reacted, letting her know that was not okay. He was quite firm but polite about it. All things considered, he was behaving much better than the humans across the street.
We returned to the common in the morning, enjoying the cool weather before the humidity sets in. We likely won’t be spending as much time outside over the next couple of days. Moose ate breakfast heartily and padded right off to his room for a nap. I can’t wait until he can come over and stay with me! 🥰
