A very structured walk, a play break, and a modeling session for Jameson

With him already really good at his basics, we still work on self-control a lot. He is fantastic when he wants to be, and on the rare occasion he does not, he changes his mind quickly. Today I was a very old person coming to meet him so it was important he not jump on me or bump into me at all before we got out of the house. He was very excited as usual but he understood the challenge. I wanted him to greet me like a human – sit, shake hands, and he did really well. For half the rest of the walk I made him walk at me side at a maddeningly slow pace. Much slower than we usually walk. It drove him absolutely crazy just to literally figure out how to slow his legs down enough for that. 😂 But he did it, and for a long time! he had run of leash for the rest of the walk and earned a few premium treats. At the end I had a ton of pictures, all nearly identical and yet each expressing a distinct Jameson emotion. It’s amazing what this dog can do with just a look!
