While staying with us Chewy has gotten to visit and play with many of our dog friends. Yesterday was a more mellow day, so it was just him and us. Or so we thought. Since he had gotten used to our neighborhood walks, Chewy knew where all his OTHER friends were. Of course he looked for his friends Robin and Jay, but they were flighty. But then he *POUNCED* and came up with a baby bird in his mouth! He showed us, LOOK, before placing it gently back on the ground. The terrified bird scampered away, but Chewy was already moving on. There were of course squirrels, and he had to check many trees to make sure those little scamps weren’t hiding up there. But he was more interested in bunnies. He really wanted to ask them if they wanted to play, but none seemed interested. He learned to watch from a distance to see if he could figure out why there were so rude. Not long after there was a turtle, and Chewy was very gentle, but still terrified the little guy. And if that weren’t enough, on our way home we were all frozen by the wailing of a fisher cat, and we stared at the tall trees until we could see the creature moving from tall branch to tall branch. You’d think that would be enough, but Chewy wanted to stop by the pond to make sure all was safe and well.

IF Chewy had a British accent, he could be the next David Attenborough.
