The supermodels took Sunday off to rest and relax

No photos yesterday – after a long week with tons of photos, yesterday we just lounged and played. Not being camera-ready is one of the joys of a lazy Sunday. With the sun shining brightly and the temps well into the 70s, it was a great day to hang out in the yard and watch the neighbors walk by. Sonya loved lying in the dirt or grass. It cools her irritated skin and makes her feel like she’s playing. She’s a goof, happy to flip over, feet in the air, if she thinks she’ll get belly rubs. Hope acts all cool, and most of the time she is. She needs her own invitation to come inside when it’s time. But on one of our walks, I saw Hope turn into a puppy as she got interested in whoever was behind a tall fence with purple bushes in front of it. Whatever she smelled caused her to dog blush, and she pranced around and turned to Sonya to see if she had noticed the same. It took some convincing before she was willing to move on. DK and I remain on good terms. He lets me know when he needs anything – clean water, a treat – but otherwise remain pretty scared of me. But occasionally he and I go back and forth singing and whistling, just making a song. I don’t know what he thinks we’re saying to each other, but he keeps correcting me! We had big ambitions, but in the end, these bodies at rest stayed at rest all Sunday. Today we all woke up ready to face the week. And when I told them Mom and Dad will be home tomorrow… they were happier than I had seen them all day before.
